Globally, local governments are facing increasing waste management and resource challenges as a result of the linear economic system. At the same time, cities have the potential to become key drivers for circular solutions.
The GIZ project Circular City Labs invites you to an online exchange with the City of Medellín. Together with key actors from the public and private sector, this webinar will explore how circular economy and reuse systems can be promoted in urban contexts. The session will showcase the implementation of the Circular City Labs project in Colombia, share lessons learned of the developed reuse pilot and provide insights into Medellín’s Roadmap for Reuse.
The session will be held in English and Spanish.
You can add the event to your calendar (yellow button) or directly join the Teams Meeting.
The project “Circular City Labs (CCL) – Testing reusable packaging systems in cities” aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through waste prevention by promoting reusable packaging systems and strengthening women participation in local circular economies.
The project is carried out by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is funded through the BMZ Initiative for Climate and Environmental Protection (IKU).
