Happy New Year: PREVENT kicks off 2026 with a new Steering Committee!

After a refreshing break, we are starting the new year energised and with great news to share: the election of the new PREVENT Waste Alliance Steering Committee has been successfully finalised.

We warmly congratulate the newly elected Steering Committee members Maxwell Odonkor, Stefanie Beitien, Reinhardt Smit, Rahul Juware, Simone Andersson, and Henning Wilts. We look forward to working closely with them to further strengthen PREVENT as a collaborative platform driving impact, innovation, and circular solutions worldwide.

At the same time, we extend our sincere thanks to the outgoing Steering Committee members Ahmed Tiamiyu, Florian Werthmann, Thierry Sanders, and Otmar Deubzer for their strong commitment, strategic guidance, and valuable contributions to the alliance. We would also like to thank all candidates and PREVENT members who actively participated in the election process and contributed to its success.

💬 Lars Selwig, Chair of the PREVENT Steering Committee, shares:

“I look forward to continuing our work together to advance PREVENT as a platform for circularity, cooperation, and global impact.”

Looking ahead, we are excited about the year to come and the opportunities that 2026 brings as we work together to unlock the full potential of the circular economy through strong partnerships and meaningful connections.
